"The Crooked Man" Illo for Playboy

An Illustration for Playboy in honor of Pride Month! I had the gracious opportunity to re-imagine Playboy Fiction's "The Crooked Man" (by Charles Beaumont) an article originally published back in the Aug 1955 issue. It was a story about a future society in which homosexuality was the norm, and heterosexuality was criminalized. Considering that this piece was published during the very conservative 50s it obviously received a lot of heat (and hate mail) to which editor in chief Hugh Hefner had responded “If it is wrong to persecute heterosexuals in a homosexual society, then the reverse is wrong too.”
